## Core Philosophy
Engaged Buddhism (EB) represents the application of traditional Buddhist meditative practices and Dharma teachings to contemporary social, political, environmental, and economic problems. Coined by Thich Nhat Hanh during the Vietnam War, EB posits that the distinction between 'personal' spiritual practice and 'public' social action is a false dichotomy.
